Like every year, the first Sunday of October, there is the Palio of Donkey,<\/h2>\n

but this tradition<\/a> of the Palio of Donkey how did?<\/p>\n

Because in all the other places like Asti run the Palio with horses, on the other hand in Alba there is the Palio of the Donkey?<\/p>\n

Here is the answer: “In 1275 Alba and Asti were at war. The Asti ran their stake under the walls of Alba in victory on the enemy city. The people of Alba, in turn, decided to take a stake in their walls with donkeys as a sign of mockery of their opponents. “<\/p>\n

It starts to Sunday afternoon at 2 PM in Piazza Savona, where all the Group, with the extras, flag bearers and drummers, will gather.<\/p>\n

Leading the “parade” is the GIOSTRA DELLE CENTO TORRI the city of Alba, with its impressive group of musicians and flag bearers and thereafter everyone else, going along Via Vittorio Emanuele (Via Maestra), Piazza Risorgimento (Piazza the Cathedral), Via Cavour until you reach the square Cagnasso, where the Palio of Donkey is held.<\/p>\n

Every village, here, has donkeys and jockeys and once started the race if they see some good, donkeys are not at others going against traffic, in short, to have fun you have to go to Alba to see the Palio degli Asini.<\/p>\n
